Sailor Moon is a magical girl manga series created by Naoko Takeuchi and published in 1991–1997. The manga has been adapted into two anime series, airing from 1992 to 1997 and 2014 to 2016. The latter series, Sailor Moon Crystal, aimed to follow the manga’s plot more faithfully. The original anime series includes three movies (1993–1995), and the new series includes four (2021–2023). The series follows Usagi, who meets a talking cat named Luna and learns that she is a sailor warrior named Sailor Moon. Luna gives Usagi a magical brooch that gives her the power to transform into Sailor Moon. Luna and Usagi gather other sailor warriors around them, and together they fight against evil.
