My Hero Academia is a battle manga series created by Kōhei Horikoshi in 2014, that has also been adapted into an anime series (2016–), multiple movies, spin-off manga series, video games, and stage plays. The series has become one of the best-selling manga series, and the anime series is considered one of the best in recent years.
In the world of the story, 80% of people have some kind of superpower. The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, has been severely bullied because he lacks such powers. Even still, he dreams of becoming a superhero. Midoriya encounters the legendary superhero All Might and inherits his superpowers. With his new powers, Midoriya enters UA High School, a school for future superheroes, where he studies to become a hero. The series follows Midoriya’s path to the top of the hero rankings.
