The museum’s selection was particularly influenced by its phenomenon-based and community-driven approach, participatory exhibitions and commitment to accessibility and diversity. Leikki – The Museum of Play also works closely with hobbyist and fan communities and continuously develops new ways to safeguard the intangible cultural heritage of play.
The EMYA 2026 winners will be announced at the EMYA Annual Conference in Bilbao on 10–14 June 2026.
