A substyle of classic lolita, historical lolita mimics the fashion of a historical era in its style. This Hellocon dress was made for the 2019 Witches’ Follies event and draws much inspiration from 18th-century rococo, combining the fashion of the era with the silhouette of lolita. In accordance with the event’s theme, a red wig was chosen as a characteristic of the witch, distinct from the rest of the outfit’s colors. The keen-eyed might find the hand-embroidered decorative bodice pattern also reflected in the fabric of the dress.
